I’m Matthew Stevenson, a native of Louisville, Kentucky. Photography has always been a kind of recreation for me; a release from what I’m supposed to be doing, to what I like to do. It captures beauty and creativity amidst the monotony and predictability that sometimes finds its way into life. The focus of my photography is to highlight the distinct personalities of the families, couples, and individuals in each photograph. It’s essential to me to illustrate the individuality of each person so that the client is not just taking home a “nice picture,” but an image that encapsulates their unique qualities. The majority of my work is weddings, engagements, and family and child portraits, but I’m open to venturing out into other realms of photography and appreciate the opportunity for a new challenge.
